Founded in 1971 by elementary school teacher Sue Dunkley, Nakruma Childcare is a family-owned Minnesota company committed to nurturing young children. Built on the vision of fostering self-belief before school, this dedication to a supportive learning environment remains central to our mission today.
Chad Dunkley, one of Nakruma Childcare’s first students and son of founder Sue Dunkley, now leads as CEO. He carries forward his mother’s vision, maintaining the commitment to excellence that shaped Nakruma Childcare from the start. Rooted in the same strong foundation, our mission continues to foster confidence and a passion for learning in every child we serve.
